TROUBLESHOOTING

Reset Operation

Ifavoltagespikeorstaticdischargeblanksoutthedisplayor

causeserraticthermostatoperationyoucanresetthethermostat

bypressing

, andmovetheSYSTEMswitchfromOFFto

HEATatthesametime.This also resets the factory defaults

to the conﬁguration menu.Ifthethermostathaspower,has

been reset and still does not function correctly contactyour

heating/coolingservicepersonorplaceofpurchase.

Batteries

Foroptimumperformance,werecommendreplacingbatteries

onceayearwithfresh“AA”Energizer

alkalinebatteries.

intermittentlycontactthefurnacemanufacturerorlocal

servicepersonforassistance.

Diagnostic:SetSystemSwitchtoHeatandraisethe

setpointaboveroomtemperature.Withinafewseconds

thethermostatshouldmakeasoftclicksound.This

soundusuallyindicatesthethermostatisoperating

properly.Ifthethermostatdoesnotclick,trythereset

operationlistedabove.Ifthethermostatdoesnotclick

afterbeingresetcontactyourheatingandcooling

servicepersonorplaceofpurchaseforareplacement.

Ifthethermostatclicks,contactthefurnacemanufac-

tureroraservicepersontoverifytheheatingsystemis

operatingcorrectly. 

No Cool

Checkeachwireconnectiontoverifytheyarenot

shortedortouchingtogether.Nobarewireshould

stickoutfromunderterminalscrews.Tryresettingthe

thermostat.Iftheconditionpersists,themanufacturerof

yoursystemorservicepersoncaninstructyouonhow

totesttheHeat/Coolsystemforcorrectoperation.Ifthe

systemoperatescorrectly,replacethethermostat.

Furnace Cycles Too Fast or Too Slow

(narrow or wide temperature swing)

inuencingthecyclerate.
