Find two switches located on in the lower right corner of the wallplate

labeled ELE/GAS and O/B. Set them as follows:

2.6 Set Switches

• If you have either a gas or

oil furnace, set the switch to

GAS.

• If you do NOT have either a

gas or oil furnace, set the

switch to ELE (Electric).

• If you have NO wires labeled

O or B, set the switch to O.

• If a wire is labeled O, set this

switch to O.

• If a wire is labeled B, set this

switch to B.

If your HVAC system does NOT include a Heat Pump, continue to 2.6.

If your HVAC system includes a Heat Pump, in addition to wiring

described in point 2.4.1 connect thermostat terminals as shown

below. Use the jumper wires provided in the Heat Pump Kit, included

in the package. Secure the wires in the terminals by tightening the

terminal screws in a clockwise direction.

Install 2 AA alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery

compartment at the top of the thermostat wallplate.

2.8 Snap thermostat to the wallplate

Do not restore power to the heating and cooling system

until instructed.

To determine if you have a Heat Pump and/or whether it is

a 1-stage or 2-stage model, see the Appendix at the end of this

manual.

2.5 Install additional wiring
